when it's over....

When it's over, is it really over?

When you decide to let go, do you really succeed in letting go?

This is one of the mornings after another sleepless night that I cannot help not to ask myself, why didn't I have a good night sleep again? Then I would just joke myself and answer it with, maybe someone's been thinking of me all night....hahaha!
Jokes are always half-meant, a friend said once. And maybe...just maybe, behind that joke, there's this wishful thinking that someone has really been thinking of me. Then the memory of someone from the past would, again, bounce in my head...disturb my sanity and make my day half-miserable...
How can you possibly say it's over when you're still in love with the person you said you were over with already? I guess it's not that easy when the chain of the past locks you in the chest of false hopes and leads you to a place called fantasy with Cinderella and Snow White as your best friends!
The three of you would gather on the hilltop and after a while three young drop-dead gorgeous princes would come riding on their horses to join the picnic under a tree. How pathetic! But, admit it or not, it's true...
The hardest part of losing a loved one is to accept the fact that they're gone and might never come back again. There are things that will always remind you of your togetherness...the places you've been, his or his/her favorite food you used to cook for him or her, expressions you used to hear from him or her and songs you've both loved to sing. These are the memories that'd linger on your mind from time to time. Because you were both in love before (or so you think), it makes you hope for another chance.
You begin to believe on what others said that love is lovelier the second time around and the line from Ally McBeal, "Whoever said that 'plenty of fish in the sea' thing is lying. Sometimes, there's only one...trust me."
We tend to think that the person who left us will come back one day and say those words, or just simple words but would promise forever. Problems may occur every now and then, but we would consider those things as trials to be conquered in order for the relationship to bloom and mature.
Oouucchh! Reality just bit me! More often than not, these romantic movies and mushy love songs only make us long for something we cannot have...and for someone who cannot be ours again. It hurts to admit that we are just pretending.
All the while, we already knew the truth but we ignore it. When the damage is done, there's nothing left to do but cry...to mourn for the bitterness in our hearts. Then curse anybody who gets in the way.
As long as we still hold on to the past, the chances of meeting someone new may be a bit far off the field. The fear of trusting and falling in love again may also hinder us to grow and move on.
We are hesitant to take the risk, afraid that we may get hurt again. Because of the negative thoughts stocked in our brains, we refuse to go out from our self-made world and deprive ourselves from new opportunities, whether in love affairs or career wise.
Let's face it! Betrayal can be anywhere and anyone can be a victim. The worst part is when the one we truly, madly and deeply love is the one who will betray us in the end. Then we are left with nothing but a broken heart and wounded pride. Sad... but true.
Reality check please... It can happen to anyone but we shouldn't just take things as it comes. An action must be done. It's just a matter of survival. Stand up when you fall. It's okay to cry as hard and as long as you want to. Just make sure that when you stop crying, you won't cry for the same reason anymore. Learn and live.

Reunion

This morning, we had our unit meeting, though tiring and sleepy I need to listen to every words and problems they say. Though our unit face lots of issues but life must go on. Thank God after the meeting three of our past co staff nurses who have resigned visited us and gave us a farewell party ( not really a big party but a small salo salo...actually one brought one whole lechon and the other brought ice cream) We were all full after the said meeting. Thanks TR, Julie and Kuya Bong, surely we'll miss your presence and kakulitan..hope you'll succeed with every steps you take..god bless you all.

Five worst foods you can eat

I was reading one pamphlet and get alarmed with what was written. According to the writer, French fries (which is my favorite) is a lethal cocktail that can trigger the inflammatory process while donuts which contains fatty acids and high sugar can also contribute to chronic inflammation. If you love cookies, crackers, commercial pastries, potato and corn chips/ tortilla chips and softdrinks then your body must be in danger for they produce harmful chemicals which can harm our body.

I've Got No uniform

I've been to graveyard shift duty and my mom went on an out of town work. She texted me to be sure to place my almost dry uniforms in a safety place as we don't know if it's going to rain. I slept without listening to her and suddenly heavy rains came....whaattt, I panic but it's already late.. My uniform was very wet...I just hope it will still dry up for tommorow's duty. How I wish, I'd listened to my mom instead.

The Best Site to Purchase Diamond

My cousin is asking my help where to purchase the finest Engagement Rings in our place. But because I'm not quite knowledgeable about Jewelry stuff so I checked the internet to find ideas about this kind of stuff. I was indeed fortunate to find one great site that really do exist and sells jewelries at very reasonable prices, not to mention their quality which every individual purchaser really get amazed.

Surely, it would really look nice on anyone using Diamonds and they will look magnificent. But I warn you there's a special way of handling this kind of expensive item, which BlueNile.com has dedicated to serve their customers. They are indeed very accommodating and keenly helped each customer which products is fitted and educate them on how to handle such expensive jewelries.

I'm also thinking of purchasing one for my parents since their wedding anniversary is coming. I think it will be a memorable gift for both of them. So guys, if you have friends or relatives who are about to get married or just have the passion of collecting jewelry items spread to them about BlueNile.com shop.

Which is Which?

As I have stated before, my cousin will be celebrating her 18th birthday soon and I'm charged of everything. Guys help me choose between this two gowns which is more elegant and should I say more righteous for the said occasion. I think both of them are lovely to look at but can't decide which one is fitted..though of course I'm still waiting for my cousin best choice. To picture out my cousin is quite petite and very fitted for both gowns.

A Good Way to communicate for Seniors

My best friend was quite worried about her grandma who grieved so much for the loss of her husband. Since the death happened six months ago, my friend wanted to help her grandma recover from her depression. I then suggested she better invite her grandma to Senior Chat rooms. This is a good way to express her thoughts and opinions to other oldies in the network. It will help her uplift her spirit, forget her depression, found new buddies and new outlet for her boredom feeling. At first, my friend was hesitant but I continued to convince her as this is a good outlet for her to recover. And mind you, I was right, after some time, her grandma did recover and found new friends. They even meet personally and find themselves with common features. They were really having a great time chatting about life in the past and their hobbies as well.

So guys, if you want your grandparents find an outlet to express themselves and found new friends then click the above link as this will be a good start of their new life. It would be a lot of fun learning that your grandparents though old could still mingle with their age group and take note this will help them regenerate their cells thus making them less aged.

My cousin's debut

My cousin is months from now and I'm going to get in charged of the preparation from the place, food, gown, invitation and give aways. I want her debut to be memorable and special. Guys, if you are living here in Davao City please help me which places are good for debuts. If you do have any suggestions about the place, gown, invitations, give aways or other stuff please do help and I'll surely appreciate your help. Thanks guys hope to hear from you soon.

Scottsdale Fine Properties

It is my dream to live in USA but I'm not quite sure which place to settle not until a good friend of mine called me up and informed me about Scottsdale Fine Properties which she finds interesting. According to her the place is very pleasant and very clean. And you'll surely love the weather which is usually 80 degrees Celsius. She was very excited to inform me about her close encounter with finding the best place to live in Arizona. According to her, she really had a nice time living in Arizona specially that she and her hubby are spending some time in a luxurious resort villa and their services was great. And here's more she kept on insisting that Arizona is a beautiful place to live because the weather is perfect and really good for swimming and adventure.

Blog Review

I'm writing this article today because I found some of my blogger friends not taking updates with their blog anymore and this situation alarms me. I know how blogging world have changed every bloggers life. From the mere fact that you are able to write a diary and express your thoughts, ideas and opinions in life. Actually blogging gave a lot for a person, she or he learns new things about life, gained new friends and the top most earned money which could alleviate our financial difficulties.

So if we could make money out of our blog then why are some of my online friends not taking updates anymore? As you can see, I have been blogging for about 9 months already and true enough I have earned from it. I was indeed grateful to have accomplished lots of things from my earnings with blogging.

But lately, I noticed that some sites are not quite just with paying bloggers. I know it's really difficult to establish a good blog and achieved good traffic as well as higher Page Rank but inspite our tremedous efforts advertisers and companies still pay less. I think this is the very reason why some of my blogger friends are not satisfied anymore with this kind of trend and here's more, you are paid cents with 200-300 words? Is that justifiable?

With regards to my situation I have been having difficulties with this blog as I think many advertisers are not in favor with bravejournal sites and I have some payables from paid sites which is around $80 I guess, maybe their system is no longer working or they say they could not track my url but i think it's working fine.

But I'm not saying this is the end of my blog career, I still would blog becuase I loved it and it makes me happy meeting new acquaitances and learning new stuff. I just hope advertisers would be alarm with this kind of situation.

what a girl and a boy needs

What a girl needs most is love. What a guy needs most is respect. The most important thing for a girl is her heart. For a guy it's his ego.
Give your man his own time and space. Let him have his time for his friends, sports, family, self, and God. The relationship will grow old quickly if lagi kayong magkasama. Give him time to miss you and you'll see how he will love you more. If the guy naman is obsessed and just wants to be with you all the time, tell him you can't respect a "puppy" for long.
Do things differently anytime. Para kahit matagal na kayo, there is always something fresh and new. Variety is the spice of life. Exciting kumbaga?
Discover something you both like to do and enjoy it TWOgether. Doon naman sa mga bagay na magkaiba ang hilig nyo, compliment each other by learning about it kahit konti. If you love someone, yung effort nyo to try will go a looooong way to understanding him later pag may disagreement kayo.
Pray with holding hands. Sounds corny noh? Maybe, but its very powerful. Pag may takot sa Diyos ang boyfriend mo, kampante ka na di ka nya lolokohin, because he knows God sees everything he does in secret. Ikaw na ang magkusa that before you part after a date, with hold hands and eyes closed, pray to God to bless you two. Believe me it's effective.
Kailanman, di corny ang magdasal.
Believe in "Magic". Kahit di minsan practical o walang logical na dahilan, o matrabaho, o sounds crazy sa iba, do sweet little things for the one you love kahit magmukha ka ng timang. The memories will be fun to recall later in life. The corniest song o gift o letter ang laging kabog!
True love brings out the best in each other. Find something good in your boyfriend and nurture it, encourage it and syempre, ENJOY it.
It's healthy to fight. Doon nyo lang maaayos ang mga differences nyo at natetest ang tatag ng relationship. Doon mo rin sya makikilala ng mabuti. It's called test of fire. Di mahalaga how madalas you fight. What matters is how often you make bati.
Mas nakakatakot yung relasyong sobrang perfect at laging masaya. One big fight and that's it! And diba mas kilig yung malambing na... "uy, bati na tayo...".
But don't overdo it. Kakapagod naman din na lagi na lang manuyo o magsori. Choose the battles na papatulan mo. The little issues, palampasin na. Don't sweat the small stuff.
Daraan sa iba't-ibang stages ang love especially pag matagal na kayo. Grow with it. Don't expect him to be like nung una. 'Coz like a student, di na ituturo sa grade 6 yung lessons na pang-grade 2. Change WILL happen... you both will change and your love WILL change too. It's up to you na lang if the change will be for the better or for the worse. Life is about growth. Grow with it.
When break up comes and it's time to say goodbye, don't doubt the love just because it didn't last. May mga bagay sa buhay na di man nagtatagal, it doesn't mean di na ito totoo. Some good things are just never meant to last forever. Okay lang yon. Bless the parting and move on.
Expect tears, sorrow, sleepless nights and pain. Ika nga "it's when you hurt the worse that you love the MOST." Kung di ka willing masaktan, wag ka na lang magmahal.
Life is a balance. And love is both holding on and letting go. Know when to fight for your man and when to let him go. God will guide you kung anong dapat gawin sa kung anong sitwasyon. So dapat mataas ang signal ng langit sa cellfone ng puso mo to know His wisdom.
Baduy pero astig diba, mga friends yan ang totoo, anyway sana nagustuhan nyo ang mga sinabi!

First, I went to Philam Insurance to pay my debts then went to Department of Foreign Affairs to inquire about my passport.. guys, the story goes this way.. yesterday I have mentioned to my co staff nurse about my coming trip to hongkong and she was aware about my passport expiration whcih will be on june 2009. She did warn me that immigration might not allow me to travel and so what I did to make sure that everything will work out right, I verified it through their office. And true, I'm supposed to renew it...buti na lang na anghelan pa.. So I did have a photo session and off I waited for my turn to be called... Good thing I still managed to renew my passport which I ought to get it rush and will be able to get it after 15 working days...by the way my trip will be on the end of march..whew...buti na lang makakahabol pa...

Good thinking...

WHICH IS WHICH?
fight for your love or set them free?
WHICH IS RIGHT?
forgive then forget or forget then forgive?
WHAT IS REALLY RIGHT?
i love you because i need you or i need you because i love you?
SHOULD IT BE?
to see is to believe or believe when you see it?
DOES IT HAVE TO BE?
action speaks louder than words but stil words hurt more than action
IS IT?
love for a reason or the reason is love..
come to think of it.. =P

Tips For Better Sleep

The following sleep tips, compiled from various sources, may prove helpful to some insomniacs.
  • Only use your bed for sleeping or having sex, not for reading, doing paperwork, watching TV, snacking, or making phone calls.
  • If you've been lying in bed but are beginning to fear you're not going to drop off, try some of these techniques: Count sheep or count backwards from 100 (one of my favorites) to stop yourself from thinking about the problems of yesterday or tomorrow; breathe deeply for awhile; or visualize some peaceful place.
  • If you can't get to sleep after lying in bed for 30 minutes or more, get up for awhile. What to do? Try reading something incredibly boring.
  • Develop a bedtime routine.
  • Keep regular bedtime hours.
  • Before bedtime, avoid tobacco and caffeinated beverages (not just coffee, but other drinks like tea, cola, and Dr. Pepper).
  • Avoid alcohol right before bedtime — a nightcap might get your mind fuzzy enough to put you to sleep, but such sleep may be interrupted by periods of awakening. By contrast, the stress-lowering effect of a drink with dinner may help to promote sleep later.
  • Avoid naps (or falling asleep in front of boring TV programs, as I do).
  • Try to get up at the same time every day rather than sleeping in on weekends.
  • Exercise every day, but not shortly before bedtime since exercise gets the adrenaline going.
  • If you use an illuminated clock for a wakeup alarm, place it where you can't keep looking at it to check the time.
  • Buy a firm mattress and keep your bedroom well ventilated (a cool temperature works best for me).
  • And you might also try some of these: a warm bath, warm milk, light bedtime snack, massage, or quiet music (which turns itself off automatically).
  • Use earplugs for extreme quiet.
  • If you have a painful joint or a headache, take a pain pill before bedtime (but be sure it doesn't contain caffeine).
  • Avoid stimulating reading or television shows late at night.

If the insomnia stubbornly persists, check with your doctor to make sure some underlying health problem (such as depression, anxiety, hyperthyroidism, heart failure, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) isn't keeping you awake. If all is well, you might ask for one of the several types of prescription sleeping pills that can be useful in the short term.

7 Pointers to Lift a Bad Mood

No one can live a long and healthy life without the will to go on; sometimes mood swings can make us feel that life is too much for us.

A bad mood not only gives you a gloomy outlook, it also lowers your immune function, leading the way to illness. Here are some suggestions to lift your mood, your spirit, and your health.

1. A Laughing Matter
"Laugh Therapy," pioneered by Norman Cousins, has turned out to have real substance. Research has discovered that laughter and joy boost immune functions, especially the production of the natural killer cells that help defend the body from illness and cancer.

Laughter also increases the release of endorphins - compounds that give you a sense of well-being - in your brain. Without a doubt, joyful people liver longer and healthier lives. So read your favorite comics, watch your favorite comedies, and laugh it up!

2. Amino Acid for Restored Mindset
When an imbalance or deficiency is creating a bad mood, the Europeans use supplements of a natural compound found in human cells to regulate mood and restore a healthy mindset. SAMe (S-adenosyl-L-methionine) is produced from methionine, an amino acid that plays a role in the production of uplifting neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine.

One study indicated that SAMe worked on patients who had unsuccessful results with conventional antidepressants. To get a boost from SAMe, take a supplement combining it with vitamins B6 and B12.

3. Hands-On Healing
Human touch increases the production of endorphins, growth hormone, and DHEA, all of which lengthen your life span and lower the negative impact of stress. Studies have found that patients who are regularly touched recover faster than those who are not touched. So give someone a hug and feel both of your moods improve.

4. Boost Your "Youth Hormones"
You don't need pills to flood your body with a rejuvenating flood of growth hormones. Research has found that doing squats and leg presses will greatly increase your natural production of the "youth hormone". Increased growth hormone translates to an elevated mood, among other physical benefits. Keep it up with weight training, knee bends, push-ups, and rowing.

5. Take a Bracing Breath
Breathing correctly is important for dispelling the toxins and wastes from your body; in fact, it is estimated that we expel only about 30 percent of toxins in our bodies through the bowels and bladder-the rest is all respiratory. Breathing is also a great way to clear your mind, boost your energy, and improve your mood. Practice deep, slow, rhythmic, breathing daily with mind-body disciplines such as tai chi, yoga, qigong, and meditation.

6. Smell the Joy
Research has shown that smell has a definite impact on our bodies and minds. When you stimulate the olfactory nerves inside your nose, you activate the limbic system of your brain, which is associated with moods and memory. This concept is instrumental to aromatherapy, a natural health tradition that makes use of the healing powers of plants with strong scents.

Aromatherapy recommends treating depression with jasmine, eucalyptus for exhilaration, and grapefruit to increase alertness and joy. Just put a dab of the essential oils from these plants on your temples, back of your neck, or acupressure points. Another option? Boil the herb in water and inhale the steam through your nose.

7. Feel Fine with Flowers
There is a reason that flowers are the traditional get-well gesture. Colorful flowers have a powerful influence on moods; they can uplift a patient's mood and even combat stress. One study found that during a five-minute typing assignment, people sitting next to a flowering bouquet were more relaxed than those who sat near foliage-only plants.

Seasons of LOVE

GUide to Coming Election in 2010

Task Force 2010 is a coalition of organizations joining hands to unite together in the spirit of EDSA and push for genuine electoral reforms. Anchored on the fundamental tenet that the people are sovereign, Task Force 2010 hopes to mobilize each and every Filipino who loves this country to register and vote, in order to proactively partake in safeguarding our democracy. Given the membership and networks of the Task Force 2010 member-institutions, in collaboration with the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) and the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) who, under its present leadership, are determined to address the reform gaps in our electoral exercise; we hope to reach out, mobilize and harness the full potential of the more than 27 million Filipino Youth and other vulnerable sectors to proactively engage in the following arenas of change: ensure full registration and voting of the Filipinos; actively participate in the cleansing of the voters’ list; partake in massive and sustained voters’ education especially focused on registration, and organize and participate in the monitoring of election violators.

HOW CAN YOU HELP

Step 1: Exercise your right. Go out and register! Registration is on-going at the local COMELEC office from now until December 15, 2009. (ARMM areas shall begin on a later date)

Are you qualified to register?

All citizens of the Philippines not otherwise disqualified by law

At least eighteen (18) years of age

Have resided in the Philippines for at least one (1) year immediately preceding the election,

Have resided in the place wherein they propose to vote for at least six (6) months immediately preceding the election

If you are a First time voter (meaning you have never registered at all and will at least be 18 years old by May 10, 2010), go to the office of the election officer of the city or municipality where you reside, during office hours - from today to December 19, 2009 to apply for registration.

If you are a registered voter of a city or municipality, but has transferred your residence to another city or municipality (must be at least a 6 month resident of the new locality from the date of the election), you need to go to the office of election officer of your new or present city of municipality and apply for TRANSFER of Registration. If your new residence is within the same city or municipality where you are currently registered, you also need to go to the election officer of said locality and report your new address so that the your registration records will be adjusted accordingly and that your new precinct number can be determined.

If you are a previous registrant who failed to vote in the 2007 Senatorial elections and 2007 Barangay elections, your file may have been already deactivated and stricken off the list. Go to the office of the election officer of the city of municipality where you are a registered voter to apply for the REACTIVATION of your registration records.

If you are a current registered voter you are encouraged to check and verify your name and precinct - (either go to the office of the local Election officer or use the COMELEC precinct finder @ www.comelec.gov.ph)

Step 2: Share the information and help people responsibly exercise their political rights.

Confusion during election day due to alleged missing names may be traced also to people not being aware of the registration process. By doing something now, we could lessen potential problems caused by lack of information. Don’t disenfranchise yourself! Go check your registration status now!!

Step 3: Empower vulnerable sectors to register and vote in 2010

Give access and assistance for people with disabilities, elderly, indigenous voters, and internally displaced persons.

Advocate for the passage of a law to allow mechanisms for detainees (those not yet convicted by final judgment) to exercise their political rights as well

Encourage First time Voters to register and not to cram on the last day of registration

Step 4: Take the extra mile—volunteer to possibly do any of these –

Attend activities of TF 2010. You will be notified of these activities

Contribute time, if you have, to help the Secretariat

Contribute creative work.

Organize small voter education discussion s/sessions with friends, colleagues and neighbors and discuss election and other current issues of the day.

Donate resources

Invite TF 2010 lead convenors to speak before your school, organization etc. You can be a voter education trainer yourself!

Host a public forum, dialogue, stakeholders meeting, barangay hall meeting for TF 2010 activities

Adopt the TF 2010 campaign in your local community

Organize in your local communities a group that would monitor the on-going registration process

Assist COMELEC in the conduct of registration, if asked.

File exclusion proceedings in court of those on the voter’s list but you personally know are disqualified to be part of the list -- with the help of volunteer lawyers of TF 2010, you can weed out names that shouldn’t be in the voters list

There’s so much to do, and so little time. So lend your hand and help the campaign now!

Protecting Yourself and Your Loved Ones

We used to own a car but when our driver got into a serious accident my mother gave it up instead. And what's more difficult is that we don't have auto insurance. That's why we run into serious debts and we still are paying for it until now. That's why guys, if you want to purchase your own car, remember to have an insurance cover for it. We felt having pain in the head and were glad that the victims recovered fast. The key to having a car is insurance so that any incident that will happen, you'll be safe and sound.

Still Dark?

It's 5:30 am and just checked my computer for updates but when I looked outside it's still dark. I guess the season changes. And I'm still sleepy but I have work to do and I hope I'm not going to be late again. It's really hard for me to go on morning shift because I'm still sleepy and I wanted to rest more. Wish I landed a job that does not have a shifting schedule..hahaha..I should have work in the office instead...

Sporty TAG - Your Dream Sports Car

Got this tag from ate Rose, and I really had fun picking up the best sports car. I guess there's nothing wrong with dreaming and how I wish I really could own such beautiful car in the future...perhaps if I'll won the lotto...hehehe)

BMW Z4 Sports Car

This is my favorite so far, close to the the one James Bond have used with his movies. This gray colored car ( which is actually my favorite color) has a two-seat roadster spins off a new Z4 Coupe, which comes together along with the roadster at a BMW plant in South Carolina. The coupe, looking long and low and quick, features a curvy hardtop covering the cockpit and a spoiler integrated into the tail.

What Kind of Kid Were You?

You Were an Inspired Kid

When you were a kid, you tended to see things from a unique, inventive perspective.
In class, you were either asking lots of questions or getting lost in a daydream.

You excelled at brainstorming. People were always amazed with what you came up with.
You didn't do as well with structured activities. Giving you freedom was the only way to make you shine.
